The Key Action 3 within the Erasmus+ Programme supports projects which contribute to implement the overall EU policy agenda, the Education and Training 2020 cooperation framework, and the Youth Strategy. Organisations will contribute to improving the quality of education, training, and youth systems in Europe, as well as promoting transnational learning and cooperation between authorities. They will also contribute to developing the basis for evidence based policy-making, as well as supporting networks and tools for policy implementation. The KA3 project “Network of Networks – International Network of VET Providers. A Grassroots Approach”, no. 608977-EPP-1-2019-1-NL-EPPKA3-VET-NETPAR, aims at the creation of an international network of VET providers through a grass roots approach. It responds to the needs of the VETsector in the EU that has to deal with a low image in society and it wants to improve the attractiveness of VET supported by capacity building and the testing and implementation of best practices.
The project, implemented between October 2019 and April 2022, pursues 4 specific objectives:
- The creation of a transnational network of VET partnerships that already cooperate on a national level.
- Cross-border cooperation aimed at mutual learning and the exchange of best practices.
- The implementation of the VET policy agenda by engaging VET leaders.
- Reaching out other potential networks in order to involve them as critical friends while sharing our own experience for the creation of their own regional, national and international networks.
This Network of Networks (NoN) is an informal alliance of regional and national groupings of colleges from Finland, the Netherlands, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Basque Country which provide professional, technical and vocational education in the skills that the current and future workforce require.
NoN shares an aim to offer an international dimension to education of our students and the development of our staff.
Partners in the Network of Networks share and exchange experience and cooperate with each other to develop meaningful and sustainable relationships.
Annual face-to-face meetings serve as a practical platform at which views on European and international developments may be shared and translated into practical collaborative projects and initiatives.
