One of the aims of the KA3 project implemented by Network of Networks is to exchange knowledge and good practices and build capacity among the VET colleges part of the 5 networks. This work has been carried out by 4 working groups dedicated to exchange and mutual learning around 4 topics: EU initiatives and tools, European Skills Week, innovative learning and work based learning and digital approaches to companies. Each group counts with 5 participants, one from each network, and in total 20 good practices were described. Since November 2020, pilot activities of best practices selected by each participant started and some of them have already concluded, sharing the first results and impact.
That is the case of the best practice piloted by HETEL and shared by Deltion College. The original name of the good practice was “Hall of fame” and it was intended to create a wall in the VET school with successful stories of students in order to inspire new potential VET students. HETEL has adapted the VET practice making it digital, through the creation of a blog, and instead of showing the success of one individual, what is being highlighted is the contribution of vocational education to the Sustainable Development Goals and societal challenges. 12 VET schools from HETEL´s network have joined this initiative, involving. The initiative is now included in HETEL´s communication strategy towards secondary education and baccalaureate students, as well as within HETEL´s working group dedicated to career guidance.
This is a great example of how innovation can be driven by networking and exchange! The initiative can be accessed in this link: FPabanteanissocial
